Cataloging Guatemalan Indigenous Textiles

OBJECTIVE: Catalog indigenous Guatemalan fabrics to determine their origin, use and temporality.
RESPONSIBLE: Technical Team, Ixchel Museum.
ESTIMATED EXECUTION TIME: Depends on the number of pieces.
DONATION FOR EACH PIECE: Q100

ACTIVITIES TO DEVELOP:
Intiating an inventory.
Identify the origin, use, temporality, and approximate value.

REQUEST:
The pieces that make up the collection must be delivered to the museum facilities. At the time of receipt, a signed and sealed note will be issued. At the end of the cataloging, the owner of the collection will sign a note of receipt.
Make donation through the advisory service when delivering the pieces to the museum. For this, you will be given a receipt for the donation.

Level 2

Cataloging, technical sheet and photographic record of Guatemalan Indigenous Textiles

OBJECTIVE: Catalog indigenous Guatemalan fabrics to determine their origin, use and temporality as well as provide a technical description, label, and photograph of the pieces.
RESPONSIBLE: Technical Team, Ixchel Museum, curator, register and designated photographer.
ESTIMATED EXECUTION TIME: Depends on the number of pieces.
DONATION FOR EACH PIECE: Q600

ACTIVITIES TO DEVELOP:
Inventory lifting.
Identify the origin, use, temporality and approximate value.
Label.
Digital and printed photographs.
Preparation of technical sheet.
Basic technical description of the fabrics.

Clean, decontaminate, and packaging of Guatemalan Indigenous Textiles

OBJECTIVE: Clean and decontaminate each of the pieces that make up the collection under preventive conservation measures.
RESPONSIBLE: Technical Team, Ixchel Museum of Indigenous Costume; curator, register and professional photographer.
ESTIMATED EXECUTION TIME: Depends on the number of pieces.
DONATION FOR EACH PIECE: Q300

ACTIVITIES TO DEVELOP:
Cleaning and decontamination.
Packaging.
Suggestion for storage area.

REQUEST:
The pieces that make up the collection must be delivered to the museum facilities. At the time of receipt, a signed and sealed receipt note will be issued. At the end of the cataloging, the owner of the collection will sign a note of receipt.
