Huipil
Santa Catarina Palopó, Sololá
Linguistic Community: Kaqchikel

This garment is made with three cloth panels. The one in the center is predominantly red, accentuated with thin, yellow lines. The white and red warp lines made of cotton yarn are much more visible on the side panels. The entire huipil is covered in small, but attractive figures brocaded with supplementary wefts, such as birds, corn plants, spiders, chevrons, and geometric motifs.
